We operate as a General Medical Services (GMS) practice, delivering primary care services focused on the diagnosis and prevention of disease. Our aim is to help patients manage their health, prevent illness, and promote general wellbeing. Our GPs:
- Assess, diagnose, treat, and manage illness.
- Perform screenings for certain conditions and provide health promotion advice.
- Act as advocates for patients, ensuring they receive appropriate health and social care services.
- Coordinate referrals to hospitals, specialists, and secondary or community services.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, sharing and collecting crucial patient information for optimal care.
- Engage in the education and training of doctors, staff, and other healthcare professionals.

Reception & Surgery Times
- Monday – Friday: 08:00 – 13:00, 13:00 – 18:00
- Saturday & Sunday: Closed
Core Opening Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 18:00.
Enhanced Access
- Monday: 18:00 – 20:00
- Saturday: 09:00 – 13:00 (Every 3rd Saturday on rotation with other local practices)
Enhanced Access services are provided by the Leek & Biddulph Primary Care Network and rotate between practices. Receptionists can book face-to-face or telephone consultations during these extended hours.
CQC Visit
Leek Health Centre was inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) on Tuesday, 26th July 2016. The practice received a “Good” rating in all areas (Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive, Well-Led), with no recommendations.
